fishies in da water...

Lots of activity in da water at Linda Mar today. I hope i catch a few waves today. Then i am going 2 the skate park and hopefully don t break any bones...

hey true believers. second day out in the water in socal. just shorts and riding some great waves out there on the 8'6" G&S mini longboard. got to see the sunrise this morning. what a beautiful planet we have. we need to take better care of her... it was about 6:45 in the morn and i was really thankful that the sun came out! it felt so good on my bare arms and shoulders....

just had the Africa Adventures slideshow and BB-Q and it turned out great. i'll try and figure out how to get all these pics on line for everyone to see in a couple of days...

here are the assistant guides:Fanwell and Godfrey that helped us thru the maze of Gillman's Point and then to Uhuru Peak @ 5895Mtrs.

Hi there true beleivers! i'm back from Africa and what a great trip! The travels were all over the map! SF to Toronto to London to Dubai to Nairobi thru Kenya to Tanzania to ARusha and finally based out of Moshi. From Moshi we ventured on a Safari that traveled thru Lake Manyara to Oldu[p]ai Gorge to get some schooling on our ancestors. The Ngorongoro Conservation area was next to get out to the Serengeti National Park and Plains area. From there we hung and checked out a few lodges and some great sites and then back to tne Ngorongoro Crater where we saw even more animals and then back to Moshi to prepare for our trek up Kilimanjaro..
..whew! After that is was off to the Amani Orphanage in Moshi to get some shoes and clothing for the kiddies and then chill for a week on Zanzibar, the Spice island and warm our tootsies on the fine white sand beaches and go snorkeling...

Chantal and I are going to be moving soon into our new home.

It used to be the Colby Farmhouse, in Oakland...i'll try and drum up some more info on this. There is a tiny neighborhood park a few blocks away [Colby Park] that used to be the pond for the farm but was eventually filled and homes built around it...

Here are a couple of [rather cruddy] photos of the interior before we move in...

So here is a what you see as you walk in..

from the entry way, you come into the Foyer and from there, you can see the cool 'Fruit Fireplace' with a pumpkin, pineapple, nasturtiums, and a grape cluster on green tiles...

then as you go into the front room, here are a few pics as you look around...

then you go past this groovy tiny-little hallway and then into the dining room with nice dark mahogany paneling and a great little built in and a funky ceiling...

and then you go into the kitchen.... i'll post more soon...

15. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

16. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

17. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

18. Caterpallor (n.): The color you turn after finding half a worm in the fruit you're eating.
